What data is synced?

You can sync both Invoices and Payments to Quickbooks. The customer records on these invoices and payments are also synced to Quickbooks. We will try to find a matching customer record in Quickbooks with the same first_name and last_name. If it’s not found, then a new customer will be added.

Which Quickbooks version do you support?

Currently, we only sync with Quickbooks Online.

Is the sync process one way?

Yes. This means you can send data from Yardbook to Quickbooks. However, any manual updates inside Quickbooks will not be synced back into Yardbook. If a conflict arises, the changes in Yardbook will override the updates in Quickbooks.

How long does it take to sync data?

Depending on the number of records, your initial sync may take a long time (ex. 20-30 minutes). However, you may close the browser window at anytime during the sync, and come back later to check the status.

How are taxes synced?

In Yardbook, you must set up sales tax rates and assign them to different customers. The sync process will assume you have the same tax rate created on the Quickbooks side, with the same tax rate name. If this is not the case, your tax calculations will not match after the sync process. Please make sure:

  1. Setup tax rates in Yardbook and in Quickbooks. Make sure the tax rate name and amounts are the same.
  2. Your customer record is linked to the correct tax rates in Yardbook.

What if I manually change the customer linked to an invoice after it’s already synced?

Changing the customer on an invoice or a payment will not be automatically synced to Quicbkooks. You will need to manually change the customer in Quickbooks as well.

Can I create additional users for my CONNECT account?

Currently, we only support one user per account. In the future, we plan to enable multi-user accounts.
